This sculptured, structured fall set to me seems to have arisen from a consortium of ideas that appeared to raise a why not? and found no suitable deterrent from pursuing this fantastical collection.
This collection is all about the detailing: yards of beaded, hand-embroidered, laser-cut, printed, hand-painted, folded and ombre-shaded tulle, layered organza and draped satin. Such attention to intricacy is what Marchesa excels at, from the fairytale dresses to the (almost) wearable-to-dinner jumpsuits; this collection is as indulgent and breath-taking as high fashion should be, and the results are absolutely stunning.
